Surface Design Study : It is ready for laser cutting!

I have worked on my surface design further in order to get it ready for laser cutting!

Reverse Engineering Object Selection

 First Idea: 

My Old Stapler/ The Great Stapler/ Stapler I that has gotten retired for quite some time now: 

I originally wanted to pick my newer stapler, then I remembered that I still have this old one somewhere in my drawer! I am interested in the shape of this one just because I have always thought it looks kind of odd! It looks like a dinosaur.

Second Idea:

The New Stapler (Stapler II), so I decided to also choose this one because with the first look, anyone can actually name what this object is 

Third Idea: 

My Utility Knife from work! This knife has helped me open so many boxes and I simply would not be able to survive without it. I have been using this same brand of knife for the past three years so yes we have a strong bond

Forth Idea :

My very nostalgic pencil sharpener! I grew up with this sharpener and to this day it has been the best one I have ever owned! to be honest I wanted to add this one here more as an honorable mention because I don't think I have the heart to mess with it or open it up. I would if I had two though!

Surface Design Study

 

This one was very fun to make and very chaotic.

Initially, my plan was to make patterns so I could later on use as wings so I created this:

At first I wanted to go with Fall colours but then changed my mind..oooopsies.

then I decided to sketch a skull on a paper and then traced half of it and mirrored the other half in order to make it symmetrical.

Then I just started playing around with different colours. Towards the end I realized that I wanted a cool background so then I decided to make this snaky/hypnotic background using offset and hatching.
